Training Benefits, Lengths, Focii & Delivery
Benefits
& Strategy: Pearson Technologies’ training
programs have two parts: PowerPoint presentations and hands-on activities. The PowerPoint presentations have two objectives.
The first objective is establishing a proper understanding of the language and
principles of fiber optic network installation or design. With this
understanding, trainees understand the significance and consequences of their
actions. These presentations are based on a course text and are documented in a
PowerPoint slide book. Trainees receive both books. The second objective is
familiarization with the products and tools so that trainees can follow
instructions during hands-on activities.
The hands-on activities are the core of all programs. 50-80% of
each program is devoted to learning by doing. Basic programs contain some
repetitions of the activities. Advanced programs include an increased number of
repetitions to develop advanced level knowledge, skills, and abilities. The
instructions are documented in the course text for use after the program.
Pearson
Technologies provides: all tools, equipment, training
texts, and consumables for each program. Our client provides a suitable training location, with a white board
or flip chart and a data projector.

Focii & Program Length
The table below indicates the focii of
Pearson Technologies’ most-frequently delivered programs. Most programs allow
for options to fine tune the program to the specific requirements of clients.
In some cases, the optional activity replaces another activity, resulting in no
change in length and a minimal, or no, change in cost.
